Christmas star

This week is was my turn to set the team challenge again, and i decided to get every one making Christmas decorations this is mine.

I used vellum card stock with dazzlin diamonds and some crystal effects you can see some of the glitz in this picture, I did try. I am very happy with the way it turned out, it's the first time I have made one of these and it was easier than I thought it would be, so thought I'd share it with you.

click here to view a tutorial on how to make this star.

Make sure you check back over the next 12 days starting tomorrow for my Christmas overload ( 12 days of Christmas projects) each project takes no longer than 10 minutes to put together and will help you save time and get you ready for Christmas quicker!!

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

I really love the designer paper from the christmas jingle scrappin kit, If you would like a printable template for this box please click here

I used:

Stamps: Tags for All
Card stock: Very Vanilla
Paper: Christmas jingle simply scrappin kit,
Ribbon: Real Red
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Handsome Hunter.

simple elegance

Just a quick post from me today, this is the project which i made this week for our team challenge,
this week we had to make a project using one roller and one sentiment so this is what I came up with I really enjoyed making it. It also helped me out with my own personal challenge of making at least one item for packaging a Christmas gift every week until Christmas.

Here's what I used for my gift box:

Card stock: whisper white
Ink: Taken with Teal
Stamps: Jumbo woodcut holly roller, Curvy verses
Accessories: Pretties kit, scallop oval punch.

Chocoholic gifts

These a re so cute and yes they contain chocolate, I brought these back for my team girls who were unable to attend convention this year, they contained a very pretty ball ball which was full of gorgeous Lindt chocolate, ( of course i had to buy one extra to make sure they tasted OK)

then i made these little boxes to put them in:

I used Night of navy card stock and whisper white taffeta ribbon and used the NEW Stampin' Up! window sheets for the clear window at the front.

Hopefully all the girls liked the chocolate ( if not i don't mind having them back mmmmmm Lindt)

Any how thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions about anything you have seen on my blog please email me to ask!!!

Sparkly snow flake and a big ouch!!

Hi Everyone hope you are all surviving the storms we've been having recently, thought i'd share a card i made last week for our team challenge which last week was set by Rosina,

so this is what i made I used the new fine galaxy glitter with my sticky cuts sweet, one of the flowers I thought would look quite good as a snow flake, what do you think?

Here's what i used:

Stamps: snow burst, occasional greetings
Ink: Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst,
Accessories: Silver elastic thread, Fine galaxy glitter, 3/4" circle punch, sticky cuts sweet, 2 way glue pen.

Also for those of you that have heard I dislocated my left knee cap last night, it was very painful and i was taken to hospital and put in plaster :(...................................................... this morning however after all the swelling had gone down the plaster was way to big so i returned to the hospital with the help of my friend Sue ( Hi sue * big wave*) to get the plaster taken off as it wasn't doing anything, so to cut the long story short I will be taking it easy for a little while ( until i can walk lol ) while the purple bruising on my knee comes out and looks really pretty, but I am fine thanks for all the emails and i will be back to normal very soon ( hopefully).

Thanks for stopping by!

More convention pictures!

OK so here's the last of my convention pictures for now, I just can't describe fully, how much fun we had and how great it was to meet up with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators and spend some time crafting and having fun and sharing the obsession.

Above top left to right you'll see Charlotte she's the training and events facilitator, in the middle of one of her demonstrations, she showed us how to make a mini tag book, and some other great stuff, also Chris from demo support, he's the one that has to listen to us moan if things don't arrive on time, of course there's also me and Lisa with Paula the UK manager and also Sandra, Next we have another Me and Shelli picture :), Of course there is also the rabbit balloon, our American friends Sara, Kelly and Emily and then finally our little group that hung out in the bar every night ( not necessarily drinking I would like to point out!!! we actually made swaps one night!)

We all had such a great time and it would be great to get to meet more new people next year so if you would like to join us you know what you need to do! the demonstrator starter kit is on offer until the end of this week and i'm also giving you the chance to choose a £20 stamp set FREE when you sign until the end of the promotion so if you'd like more information about joining my team and joining in the fun then contact me today!

Oh My word!!!!!!!

This is a post that I shouldn't be making as I most definitely should still be asleep!!! recovering!!!! :)

Intrigued?????? well for those of you that didn't know this weekend saw the first EVER European Stampin' Up! convention which was held in Frankfurt Germany and of course as you might have guessed I went along to find out what all the fuss was about :)

and OH MY!!! all of you from the US that have told me how great convention is were most definitely not exaggerating!! It was great!!

so here come the all important Convention photo's!!!!

This Is me ( of course) with one of my down line team Lisa ( hi Lisa * big wave*) at the awards dinner in bad homburg

This of course is the Stampin' Up! management team Including our own lovely Paula from the UK and the UK demonstrator support team Eileen and Chris ( big waves ) sorry still excited :) and of course Shelli, Sterling Pam and Dave form the US.
We had such a great time we met loads of new people ( insert the crazy Americans !!! Sara, Kelly and Emily HI!!! ) I had to post this photo as it was the start of my many many giggling fits through out the trip. Kelly has some more great pictures on her blog HERE so make sure you check those out my camera stopped taking photo's so don't have many that i took my self :( although everyone assures me they are going to send me copies of theirs!!!
This is Elaine.
OK so this photo might need a little more explanation than that :) Elaine will for ever be known to us as uurgh ( it's ok she knows what I mean lol) and she is so funny!!! Elaine is one of our new Scottish friends and the reason I am so tired!!!! in a good way we just stayed up way too late!! I don't think either of us have a photo of each other where we look serious or aren't pulling a silly face and I'm a little worried that the Stampin' Up! camera man might have caught us being silly a few times. oooops
Of course this is the Shelli photo ( well one of them any way ) Because there aren't as many demonstators in Europe as the Us convention was really great, it was really personal and we got to talk to Shelli and Sterling quite a lot. They are both lovely and so happy all the time.

Shelli Gardener is the co founder and ceo of Stampin' Up! she is so lovely and has some really great creative ideas, she demo'd some really great projects.

Of course also in this picture are two of our other new friends Angie and Sandra ( ooops sorry put it right). HI :)

Oh and of course I was one of the 25 UK demonstrators of the year :) I came 23rd out of 350 ( I think that's right if it's more someone please tell me) demonstrators in the UK , which I thought was really nice, you can read more about this experience here.................................................. you see........Unfortunately it meant I had to go on stage and any one that knows me knows that's not such a good idea, I'm accident prone at the best of times and the floor was really slippery so that combined with high heels.............. well you guessed it not good huh.

There was so much to see so many great ideas check out the next few posts over the coming weeks for all the fantastic projects and may be some more photo's of me with Shelli :) ( well only the one's where i don't look so short!! )

Any how we had an absolutely amazing time!!! and am certainly going next year when European convention will be held in.......................................................................................................................................................................

THE UK !!!!! ( insert big cheers and wooops of delight!! ) London to be exact.

How cool is that right on our door step so If you would love to come to THE most exciting and fun stamping event you will ever attend check out the demonstrator starter kit offer it's only running for another week until the 13th November so don't miss out join the Stampin' Up! family and have so much fun sharing your love of crafts and come to convention with us next year!!!!

Love Abi x

Christmas box

I said a box every week till christmas so here is this weeks box, it's really simple to make I used a pattern which I made my self a couple of years ago which I used to make this box but i just changed the colours and shaped the lid differently.

I Find you need to use a fairly strong adhesive to hold boxes together so I used My Stampin' Up! sticky strip which is a permanent double sided tape.

If you would like a printable A4 pattern for this box click here

Here's what I used:

Stamps: So swirly jumbo roller, season of joy,
Card stock: Old olive, Whisper white, Real Red
Ink: Old olive
Ribbon: Real Red
Tools: Scallop edge punch
Adhesive: Sticky strip and snail
