Thought I'd show you some fab t-shirts i stamped recently sorry they are a bit crumpled. :)
As we don't have the Stampin' Up! craft pads in the UK (yet ) I used Dylon fabric paint instead, I also used black stayz on too.
Remember to cover your surfaces and put cardboard behind the fabric you are stamping so as to not go through all the layers onto the back of the garment.
I mixed the fabric paints to get the colours i wanted in an old plastic tub using regular paint brushes, I did try putting the stamp into the fabric paint as if i was stamping normally but this was a bit messy and put too much paint on the stamp,
So to get a nice clean image i found it was better to paint the stamp instead with a paint brush,
Make sure that the fabric is pulled flat before you put your stamp down, then apply an even pressure to the rubber stamp, don't wiggle it! remove the stamp and allow the fabric paint to dry,
When the fabric paint is dry you can add other colours or designs to finish your garment/ project, when you're finished and it's all dry iron the design using a scratch cloth/old pillow case on a hot heat and your all done.
It was great fun and i really like the finished t-shirt's (even if i should have ironed them before i took the photo)
I used Unfrogettable, The Big deal alphabet and the bundle of joy stamp sets for these projects.
Thanks for stopping by.
