something a little different....

Ok so i have to admit i'm a little proud of this myself  :)

i'm really happy with how it turned out..

Meet woody.... my punch art pal  he was so fun to make!

he was for my 5 year olds birthday card.. and i used my punches to make him... the 1 3/4" circle large oval, cropodile,  and the 3 heart punch....
with choo choo stamp set ( the puff of smoke makes a really cool cow print)  and the sanded background stamp...

And inside was this little guy! again i used the same punches as before...

My son thought it was great!

Thanks for stopping by!

bouncing balls!!

It's that time of year again!  party time.. this year my youngest son is having his party at a local play centre with a ball pool and slides etc so i kind of went with that as the theme for his invites.....  some people thought they were bubbles.... some balloons...   but i would like to make sure you all know they are those really annoying plastic balls from the ball pool !!!!!

ok rant over ( he he he )

Any how i thought it was a really simple idea and they were really fun to make!

thanks for dropping by!

A Bit of Dino Fun!

How much fun is this?? lol This is my son's 6th Birthday party invite i had to make 20 of these and it wasn't as quick as i thought it would be but it was fun, he even tried to help me out.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on Garden Green and Old Olive card stock with Whisper white and Real red card stock for the mouth and teeth. I used the 1/2" , 3/4" and 1" Stampin' Up! circle punches and a craft knife, and a black stampin' write marker.

I've had so much fun this week making cards I've also had to make some card fronts for the Stampin' Up! demonstrators field training event which is coming up in 2 weeks time and also all the projects for my lovely stampers 10 ladies to have a go at next week, so so far I've had a really good crafty week!

hope you all are getting as much crafting done as me, as always if you'd like more information about Stampin' Up! or any thing which has been featured on my blogs just ask!

Crazy for cupcakes

OK if you haven't guessed this card is for a little girl called megan who is going to be 6 :) Both my boys adore her and my 3 year old acts like her shadow when she's around, it's really sweet.

so above you can see the outside of the card, I used the big deal alphabet stamp set, some summer picnic designer series paper and my colluzle.
and here is the inside of he card, I used the Crazy for cupcakes stamp set, 1 3/8" circle punch craft knife, colluzle, glue dots, dimensional foam pads, aqua painter, Black Stayz on, Pretty in pink, regal rose, rose red, creamy caramel, barely banana, taken with teal and chocolate chip ink, Rose red, Whisper white and bashful blue card stock.

I think this could be the only time i cut out that many little cup cakes as it took for ever but i like the effect and I'm pretty sure megan will too.

Thanks for looking!

a quick birthday card.

This was a super quick card i made, I used Rose Red card stock with kraft and whisper white, i used bashful blue gingham and markers to colour the image.

Stamps were : all in the family and family accessories.

and i used the three for you flower punch for the flowers along the side.

I haven't had much crafting time lately sorry but i will get on top of it now hopefully, I spent most of today with one of my Friends who had gone into labour, she had her baby this evening at about 6.20pm ( which she was told was going to be a girl and isn't) but I'm sure he is gorgeous all the same!! Congratulations Karen and Shawn!! now i need to go make a male baby card! lol

Basic Grey, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa ink, Boho Blooms punch and a sponge dauber.

Hope you like it!

A card for Grandpa

I always struggle with men's cards and my father in law is no exception in fact i think it's worse so while i was blog hopping i came across this card made by Angela at the paper gourmet and loved it,

so mine is a bit simpler than hers but it was for a man! My kids helped decorate the cupcake with sequin sprinkles ( it's amazing how messy that can get!)

I used Whisper white card stock as the base ( one A4 sheet folded length ways)

The Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, and the Big Deal Alphabet,

With bold brights inks: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green, Glorious Green, Lovely Lilac, Brilliant Blue and Only Orange,

I water coloured the cupcake then applied glossy accents and the kids added the sprinkles, everything is mounted on dimensionals.

Thanks for looking :)

SCSC at the zoo

This week the secret crafter saturday challenge was at the zoo so I didn't just make one card I did a whole lot, I used a one sheet wonder pattern, I actually had 5 more cards than this from the pattern but I couldn't fit them all in the photo.

I used the Stampin' Up! Wild About You stamp set, with the Earth Elements inks, I used a mixture of card stock colours, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Kraft, Going Grey, Really Rust and Bordering Blue. One sheet wonders are a really great way of making lots of cards in a short space of time ( I think these only took me less than an hour to do 16 which I think is pretty good going) If you'd like to know more about osw ( one sheet wonders) drop me a line and i'll let you know when the next osw class is

If you'd like to join in with the challenges go here

Chocolate chip gros grain and bashful blue gingham ribbon and a level 3 hostess set called Window dressing.

Wild about you!

I love this card, it's just so cute, unfortunately i cannot take the credit for it, I found it on scs ( i forget who created the original but if it was you i'd love to know :) and just fell in love with the colours, I had to change the punches used as they are not all available in the uk yet but everything is available from Stampin' Up!
card recipe: Wild About You Stamp Set, Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate chip and Whisper White card stock Chocolate chip, and Close to Cocoa Ink, Chocolate Chip gros grain ribbon
Punches: Scallop, corner rounder, 1" circle , 1 1/4" circle and tab punch , I also used the crafters tool kit to punch small holes around the edge of the flap, This card would be ideal as a pouch by only mounting three sides of the creamy caramel onto the bashful blue and not securing the flap down with adhesive.
