and i'm back.........

Hi, so I'm back in more ways than one! after almost 2 weeks without any Internet or should I say access to google which pretty much ruled out everything I wanted to use the computer for we had to format our little computer, and as you can see it seems to have fixed the problem, then we went away for a few days taking the lap top with us of course only to find we couldn't get any mobile broadband connection arrrggghhh!!!

So we've got back off a short break with the kids in "sunny" Exmouth in Devon, and I can use the computer!!!! yay
We had some pretty good weather it only rained one day so we spent most of that day in the swimming pool where it was at least slightly warmer than the tiny caravan we were staying in. :) the boys managed to fall out of their beds at least 3 times every night, so no one got alot of sleep but everyone thoroughly enjoyed them selves and I'm glad to be home :)

I even managed to get some stamping in while we were away! :) I packed my self a mini kit just some card stock a couple of bits of ribbon a stamp set and a set of stampin spots, it didn't take up much room and I had a lot of fun playing around with it. Over the next week I'll show you what I came up with I guess you could look at it as a limited supplies challenge. :)
Here's one of the cards I made, as you can see I took the simply said stamp set with me, this card has a so saffron card base with whisper white and kraft card stock, I stamped it using Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Really Rust, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip ink and I added some gems for some added bling.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Soft Summer

I really like this card and it was so incredibly quick and easy,

again I used some of the paper from the Love stories simply scrappin' kit and also one of the adhesive borders,

I used a Regal Rose card stock base, I stamped the blossom image form the Soft Summer stamp set in Regal Rose ink on confetti white card stock which I coloured with pretty in pink and certainly celery markers and some whisper white taffeta ribbon I then mounted this on the card using stampin' dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!

Live your dream

Here's another card i made using the Love stories simply Scrappin' kit this time i also used the live your dream stamp set.

The card base is whisper white I used blush blossom card stock for the scallops along the edge and one of the adhesive sentiment from the scrappin' kit, these elements made from adhesive card stock and are beautifully pre cut which you just peal off the sheet,

The designer paper is also from the scrappin' kit.

I used the large flowers from the live your dream stamp set and tried out the emboss resist technique, with versa mark ink and clear embossing powder on whisper white card and my stampin' write markers to colour.

Thanks for looking!

Clean and simple with simply scrappin kits.

I love clean and simple, for this card I used the baroque border roller from Stampin' Up! with clear embossing powder on whisper white card stock, I also used pretty in pink card stock and some of the elements from the Love Stories simply scrappin' kit.

The simply scrappin' kits make card making and scrap booking really simple and they are absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for stooping by, if you have any questions just let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Edited to answer to answer question: The words/ sentiment are part of the self adhesive elements from the simply scrappin kit, they are die cut and you just press them out and stick them on they are great. hth

MORE Baroque Motifs

I can't believe how quickly my weeks seem to be going by it's nearly Friday again and that will mean another challenge on my Funky Friday challenge sight, but in the mean time this was the challenge for last Friday ( I'm a bit late posting it ooops) The challenge was to use all the colours above with out adding any extras. so here is what i made.
I saw a card very similar to this recently ( sorry i can't remember who it was by or where i saw it) but this is my version of it, i really wanted to try stamping on the vellum card stock and I am quite pleased with the result.

I used: Baroque Motifs and Oval All stamp sets, with Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie ink, with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock, the ribbon was from my vast collection of crafty bits and I also used the oval and scallop oval punches and vellum card stock.

Thanks for stoping by, If you'd like to join in the challenges just visit my challenge site by clicking at the top of this page.

Crazy for cupcakes

OK if you haven't guessed this card is for a little girl called megan who is going to be 6 :) Both my boys adore her and my 3 year old acts like her shadow when she's around, it's really sweet.

so above you can see the outside of the card, I used the big deal alphabet stamp set, some summer picnic designer series paper and my colluzle.
and here is the inside of he card, I used the Crazy for cupcakes stamp set, 1 3/8" circle punch craft knife, colluzle, glue dots, dimensional foam pads, aqua painter, Black Stayz on, Pretty in pink, regal rose, rose red, creamy caramel, barely banana, taken with teal and chocolate chip ink, Rose red, Whisper white and bashful blue card stock.

I think this could be the only time i cut out that many little cup cakes as it took for ever but i like the effect and I'm pretty sure megan will too.

Marker Share.

!!ONLY 2 PLACES LEFT!!

My First marker share filed up so quickly, and I have had more enquiries about it so i'm going to do another.

A marker share is a really good way to spread the cost of a full set of Stampin' write markers from Stampin' Up!

The stampin' write markers come in each of the great stampin' up! colour families and are great for colouring your stamps and stamped images, they are a fantastic way for you to have an entire colour family at a really great price! and they are re fillable!!! unlike some markers of other makes.

Each colour family has 12 markers in it, and there are 4 colour families so that's 48 re fillable markers! and starting this month I'm running a great marker share so you can own a FULL set of Markers that's 48 markers in total AND the storage case, the marker share means you can spread the cost over four months and still get the full set.

This group will start as soon as it is full and needs 4 people to run.

Cost each month will be £26.30 ( including postage)

If you would like to join in email me at abi4380@gmail.com

Clean and simple.

I love the clean look of this card!, I used my cuttlebug swirly embossing folder on whisper white card stock for the base, with some whisper white taffeta ribbon, and ruby red card stock.

I used the poppy from the blooming with beauty stamp set which I coloured using stampin write markers and an aqua painter.

The ribbon is threaded through a slit at the side of the card as I don't like to cut ribbons which I put on cards as the ends on the sides will fray and it gives a much better finish to wrap the ribbon around the card than to cut it and get messy ends.

Stampin' Up! ribbon is sold by the roll starting from £3.95 for 13.7m ( price and length depending on ribbon type) check out the online stampin up! catalogue for more information about our ribbons!

I teamed this with Close to cocoa, chocolate chip and very vanilla card stock, I also used very vanilla gros grain ribbon,

I used the pocket silhouette stamp set which I coloured using my stampin write markers, in chocolate chip and close to cocoa.

Funky Friday# 15 and saturday challenge combo.

I made these two cards for the Funky Friday colour challenge and the Secret crafter saturday challenge,
The Funky Friday challenge was to use Regal Rose , Pretty in pink, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Whisper white, while the Saturday challenge was to make a card using flowers.
This first card I made using the Live Your Dream stamp set from Stampin' Up! I coloured the image using stampin' write markers in pretty in pink and perfect plum, I also used my scallop edge punch, scallop oval and oval punches and also my 1 1/16" hole punch for the details on the scallops. The ribbon was elegant eggplant gros grain which matches the elegant eggplant card base which i used.
This card also used the Live Your Dreams stamp set, I made the small flowers using the three for you punch for the directions for these flowers click here for the tutorial
