So it's the New year and the Funky Friday challenges have re started this time with a Sketch due to popular demand and also return with a new design team check out the team and their creations by clicking here
This sketch challenge was set by Rosina and we were able to use this sketch to produce any project we wanted not just cards! Now it's been a while since I have done my scrap booking and I do have a little bit of a back log on the photo front so I decided to use this sketch to my advantage
I haven't added my photo's to it yet but I will, these pages are for my brother in laws wedding the bride wore a gorgeous red dress and my eldest son was dressed as a page boy ( although he didn't really want to play the part) but the photo's will look great with this speciality paper, when i can get through the snow to get them printed.
Here's what I used:
Everything is from Stampin' Up!
Card stock: Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White, speciality paper in white,
Punches: Scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle punch, heart to heart punch, 1/6" circle,
Ribbon: Whisper White and Basic Grey Taffeta,

My challenge card
Here is my entry for this weeks Funky Friday challenge,
I had to do a close up just to prove i did use orchid opulence :)
Any how so here is my card, I used whisper white ribbon which I coloured with my really rust stampin pad, I used my a rose is a rose stamp set, and some Washington apple designer series paper.
I folded the designer paper at the bottom of the card into pleats and added some colour with a sponge dauber for a little more depth,
so I admit I found this one was a little tricky to use all the colours, but then it wouldn't be called a challenge if it was really easy now would it?

I used a Kraft card stock base with the wonderful words stamp set I used my five petal flower punch for the flower and the leaves and used the bashful blue striped gros grain ribbon from our mini catalogue with night of navy gros grain ribbon and finished it all off with a pearl from the pretties kit.

MORE Baroque Motifs

I can't believe how quickly my weeks seem to be going by it's nearly Friday again and that will mean another challenge on my Funky Friday challenge sight, but in the mean time this was the challenge for last Friday ( I'm a bit late posting it ooops) The challenge was to use all the colours above with out adding any extras. so here is what i made.
I saw a card very similar to this recently ( sorry i can't remember who it was by or where i saw it) but this is my version of it, i really wanted to try stamping on the vellum card stock and I am quite pleased with the result.I used: Baroque Motifs and Oval All stamp sets, with Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie ink, with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock, the ribbon was from my vast collection of crafty bits and I also used the oval and scallop oval punches and vellum card stock.
Thanks for stoping by, If you'd like to join in the challenges just visit my challenge site by clicking at the top of this page.

My Funky Friday chalenge #11
So this week I chose the colours above ( yes i realised i spelt certainly wrong too ooops!) I thought this was going to be really easy but I think I started to over think my projects and then found it really hard so I had to leave it for a day and then come back and look at it all afresh and this is what I came up with two quite different cards.
I think the pink one is my favourite. I used pretty in pink textured card stock with some of the new pink striped gros grain ribbon from our mini, I combined this with some of the felt flowers and some punched flowers using the boho blooms punch. The beads are from my vast collection of crafty bits.
For the green card i used baroque motifs and the baroque border wheel, with the scallop edge punch and the the three flower punch from the 3 for you punch set ( which is still available in the UK for a limited time). Thanks for stopping by! If you'd like to check out my challenges click here

Funky Friday #10

well i had to get the frogs in there somewhere!!! but just to prove that i don't use the frogs every time there is green in a challenge i had to make something different too.
(I added some green galore too)
I used the 1 3/8 an d1 1/4" punches and the oval and scallop oval punches for the first card and added some dazzlin' diamonds.
I made the lilly ads for the second card with the oval punch and used the circle punches and the scallop edge punch for the balloons.
