Chocolate sage

This is a photo of one of the swaps I made for field training, had I thought it through properly I would have chosen something quicker to make but this is me I thought about it while I was doing it. I had to make 20+ card fronts like this ( although I didn't share my gorgeous buttons with everyone i couldn't bare to be parted from them).

I used the emboss resist technique on on the top half of the card, the card stock base was sage shadow and i used chocolate chip with a sponge dauber to add the colour.
I used my markers to colour the stamps and a sponge dauber to add the colour to the scallop edge. The stamp set is Fresh Cuts from the mini catalogue. I also used the 5 petal flower and scallop edge punches.

EDITED TO SAY:- We all had a really great time!! loved seeing everyone again and meeting some new demonstrators that were there!! thanks for all the great swaps ladies and thanks to my down line Rosina and also to Debbie for keeping company on the journey :)

Friday again!!

Friday again!! I love setting the Funky Friday challenges it means I get to trawl through all my photo's and this is one of my favourites it's an old one, my youngest son was about 8 months old in this photo he's now coming up for his 4th birthday.

SO i chose this photo for the colours in the jumper he was wearing, and this is the card I came up with, which I really love, I really like the fact that it is so simple,

I used a Kraft card stock base with the wonderful words stamp set I used my five petal flower punch for the flower and the leaves and used the bashful blue striped gros grain ribbon from our mini catalogue with night of navy gros grain ribbon and finished it all off with a pearl from the pretties kit.

Vellum Rose

This was an experimental card if I'm honest I wasn't sure how it would turn out and I'm not sure if I like it yet, but I thought I'd share it with you all and see what you think.

I made it to match the gift bags which my stampers 10 group made at their class on Saturday, I used barely banana, So Saffron, White stayz on, mellow moss and sage shadow, I also used the 1" circle punch on the corners. The stamp set was A Rose is a Rose.

Thanks for visiting!

Just a quickie :)

I saw this colour inspiration over on Kristina werners site and thought I love that, had all these great ideas then when I came to make a card I really struggled, so I kept it quick and simple with some clear and white embossing the Fall flair hostess stamp set and the five petal flower punch.

If you would like to see how I made this flower click here

Thanks for looking.

Simply Soft

Back to one of my comfortable colour combinations :)

For this card I used Very Vanilla card stock, with Kraft ribbon,
Chocolate chip, close to cocoa, and creamy caramel ink,
I also used the scallop edge punch, the scallop oval punch and my crafters tool kit mat pack.
I used the soft summer flower and the for you sentiment from the fresh cuts stamp set.

I love simple colours and it has to be admitted this card matches most of our home.

My stampers groups creations!!

I just wanted to share these with everyone, these are the cards my stampers 10 group made this morning ( well some of them any way the others who couldn't make it will get their kits to have a go at home themselves)

We had a really fun time and I love that every one was able to use their kits to create something slightly different after all it's all about inspiring your creativity isn't it, so from left to right starting at the back ( ladies you'll have to correct me if i get it wrong) the cards are made by:
Lynne, Barbara, Kathy, Amanda, front row l-r Marion, Jayne, And finally me.

I really enjoy meeting with my stamping ladies they are all so funny and it's really good fun, we always miss those that can't make it.

And it reminds me why I'm a demonstrator, I love sharing what I do with others and seeing and being inspired by what others make.

SO thank you ladies!!!

If you would like to know more about becoming a demonstrator or have been putting it off contact me for more information, I'd love to hear from you, so ask me about joining my team!!

A bit of Christamas cheer

I have been so behind this week with posting sorry!

This was my challenge project for my Funky Friday challenge, I love doing challenges especially when my mojo has mojo'd somewhere else and in all honesty if it was up to me I would probably make all my cards vanilla or white with some chocolate chip and bashful blue, challenges really push me to try something different and i enjoy the challenge.

so this is what I made for the challenge if a little bit late, I used the so swirly jumbo roller with handsome hunter ink and the season of joy stamp set I also used Merry Christmas from the seasonal wishes set.

If you would like to check out the challenges on my blog click the challenge link at the top of the page and have a look!

Bag-a-box

I feel like I've been MIA recently, I have been crafting honest!

I'm not really sure what you call this, I've heard them called box in a bag, I just think they are really beautiful gift bags...

This is one of the projects which I've been working on which my stampers 10 ladies are going to be having a go at this week for their class, I used A Rose is a Rose stamp set, with So Saffron, Barely Banana and Whisper White ink and card stock and some of Stampin' up's vellum card stock which I've been dying to try out.I don't normally give them the pleasure of seeing the coming projects before the class, I like to surprise them but I just think it's so pretty I had to share it with you.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Bit of Dino Fun!

How much fun is this?? lol This is my son's 6th Birthday party invite i had to make 20 of these and it wasn't as quick as i thought it would be but it was fun, he even tried to help me out.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on Garden Green and Old Olive card stock with Whisper white and Real red card stock for the mouth and teeth. I used the 1/2" , 3/4" and 1" Stampin' Up! circle punches and a craft knife, and a black stampin' write marker.

I've had so much fun this week making cards I've also had to make some card fronts for the Stampin' Up! demonstrators field training event which is coming up in 2 weeks time and also all the projects for my lovely stampers 10 ladies to have a go at next week, so so far I've had a really good crafty week!

hope you all are getting as much crafting done as me, as always if you'd like more information about Stampin' Up! or any thing which has been featured on my blogs just ask!

Funky Friday #20

so this may be a bit of a Funky Friday over load but i promise that now i am on top of things :) and up to date yay (well i think i am)

I made this for this weeks Funky Friday challenge which you can see here the colours were as stated above, i used the Fall Flair hostess stamp set and used the masking technique. I love how simple it is, and i didn't find it all that difficult which surprised me ( i was not looking forward to this one at all), I also used the scallop edge punch and whisper white taffeta ribbon.

Any way pop on over and have a go at my challenges if you have time, thanks for visiting my blog!

Funky Friday #19

OK i know so i am REALLY late posting this one but in all fairness when the challenge was posted last week i was on holiday without pretty in pink :)

So this is what i created for last week's Funky Friday challenge, I used All the circle punches the scallop oval and the large oval punch to create these gorgeous bears and to just to prove you can make curved edges with the scallop edge punch that's what i used to scallop the heart, hopefully when i get around to it I'll do a tutorial on how to go around circles with it.

Any way if you can get a close up look the female bear has a HUGE engagement ring on :)

I used the colours stated in the challenge, in ink and card stock i also used creamy caramel card stock. The ribbon is pretty in pink striped gros grain from our mini catalogue.

Thanks for looking!

More Simply said,

Well as I said before these cards should really be labelled limited supply challenge as i could only use what i put in my bag before we went away, :)

This cad uses a Chocolate Chip card base with Kraft designer series paper, very vanilla taffeta ribbon and some scraps of card which I had left over in very vanilla, close to cocoa and chocolate chip, which I stamped using inks of the same colours. I also added some gems for some sparkle.

(I feel like i should have set my self a challenge as to how many card I could make form one stamp set in a short space of time.)

Thanks for looking!

Simply Thank you!

Here is another of the cards I made while we were away, it's amazing how many cards you can make from one 6x6 piece of designer paper!

so this card I made using the simply said stamp set again, this time using Kraft card stock and Kraft designer series paper from the hostess ds paper bundle, with whisper white and Kraft taffeta ribbon combined with some Chocolate Chip, Close to cocoa and whisper white card stock, I stamped in Chocolate chip ink and coloured the image using a blender pen, by using the stampin spot on a piece of plastic and picking the colour up from the plastic sheet. for the sentiment I just inked the thank you part of the stamp which says "simply said from the heart thank you"
