Season of Joy

'Tis the season to be jolly fa la la la lalalalala. ( ok just be glad you can't hear me )

I found a card similar to these on scs a few months ago ( sorry can't remember who made it ) But this is my take on it, if you attended the charity stamp class I held in October you'll recognise these.

We used Real Red, Glorious Green Card stock, ribbon and ink with versa mark ink and whisper white card stock.

The Stampin' Up! season of joy stamp set and the swirling stars jumbo roller and of course some dimensionals. I also had a go at the same layout with Handsome hunter card stock and ink with real red.

Thanks for looking.

Silent Night

Last post for today just thought I'd share my Old Olive churches with you, the picture doesn't really show the dazzlin diamonds or the paper piercing but i promise you it's on there :)

As I've already said I used Old Olive ink and card stock and Whisper White card stock, with some non su ribbon.

I used the Silent Night stamp set with the merry Christmas from the Seasonal Wishes set.

Thanks for stopping by!

A tree for the christmas season.

I like clean and simple and i think the "A tree for all seasons" stamp set suits a simple card and looks really cute.

I used Whisper White card stock with white taffetta ribbon, the image was stamped on a small square which i had embossed with my cuttlebug before i stamped the image, I then used a blender pen to colour the image and used dimensionals to mount it on the card.

Woodcut Holly, Happiest of Holidays

Can't deny it any longer Christmas is just around the corner, so here's one of my recent Christmas cards.

I used Handsome Hunter, Real Red and Very Vanilla card stock,
Real Red ribbon, Handsome Hunter Ink, Fiskars 1/8" circle punch,
Happiest of Holidays stamp set, Seasonal Wishes stamp set, Woodcut Holly jumbo roller with a versa mark ink cartridge and clear embossing powder.

I love the look of the holly on the dark green and it was such a quick card to make if were making all your Christmas cards this is an impressive quick card.

Thought I'd share these with you, These are the projects which my 2007/08 catalogue hostess's got to make to day at my hostess appreciation party as a BIG thank you for having a home workshop, we had a lovely time with lots of fun and laughter so thank you to everyone who hosted a workshop in the past year!

Today my past hostess's got to make Calendar, a note book, a Candle and a gorgeous picture frame using the new rub on's in the UK catalogue.

The card stock I used on my project was Ruby Red, the ribbons were Chocolate Chip Gros Grain and Taffeta and the designer series paper was from the Holiday Treasures pack.

I also used the poinsetta stamp from the Season of joy stamp set

We had a great time don't forget the Rub on promotion only lasts 'till the end of the month if you want to take advantage of the great discount.

Holly Jolly Christmas

I've put it off for so long and now there is no getting away from the fact that Christmas is just a few weeks away, so i thought I'd start the Christmas cards, I wanted something which would be easy for my five year old son to help with and this is what we came up with,

we used Ruby Red card stock as the base with whisper white card stock
which we used a sponge dauber to apply some close to cocoa around the edges so it didn't look so crisp and some always artichoke ribbon we punched out Rudolf's nose with a fiskars punch.

Thanks for looking

A Rose is a Rose "mums birthday"

Sorry the colours haven't come out too good in this photo i was trying to take the photo and upload it without my mum seeing it as she's got the "stamping bug" now and wants to see everything. This is her birthday card!

I used a Rose is a Rose stamp set with the sincere salutations stamp set.

So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and whisper white card stock,
Chocolate Chip ribbon,
So Saffron, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Old olive and Always Artichoke Ink

I also used the Tea and Crumpets designer series paper which is my favourite right now.

Seaside.

OK I realise that the past week it's been raining so hard that most of our waterproof jackets are no longer keeping us dry and we've all given up blow drying our hair but I thought I'd share this card with you, it's one from my display board hence the plastic and uses the lovely Stampin' Up! seaside stamp set or more specifically the star fish stamp.

Here's what i used:

Seaside Stamp Set, Stem Sayings Stamp Set,

Creamy Caramel, Kraft and Naturals Ivory Card stock,

Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and So Saffron Ink,

Antique Brass eyelets, Linen thread, Cropodile, aqua painter.

I used the aqua painter with Creamy Caramel ink to produce the sea spray on the base card by just flicking the ink at the card stock ( you remember the way you used to get told off for it at school or by your mum well that's what i did and i enjoyed it)

This card was really good fun to make and left me wishing it was summer ( hopefully 2009 will be dryer than 2008)

Thanks for stopping by,

Stampin' Up! Stampers 6 one member more needed!

My stampers 6/ hostess club which is due to start shortly just needs one more member!

It's going to run 6 times over the coming year running alternate months,  you just place an order of £25 (or more) plus postage in each of the selected months one of those months is your month to be "hostess" and receive all the hostess benefits which you receive when you host a workshop....  don't panic that doesn't mean you have to have a party but if you chose to you could earn yourself more hostess benefits ( more free stuff always sounds good to me)

You don't even have to live in Cornwall to join in your orders and all your benefits will be posted to you each month........ although there would be one draw back you'll have to make do with the monthly projects being mailed to you instead of being able to attend the fantastic exclusive classes and have a virtual class instead.

Email or call me for more information or to sign up!

Here's another card using the bloomin' with beauty stamp set, I used a chocolate chip base with chocolate chip 5/8" gros grain ribbon and chocolate chip ink with one of the sincere salutations stamps birthday wishes.

Tea and crumpets designer series paper which i absolutely love, I used the corner rounder on the corners and layered my image which i stamped on Stampin' Up's Whisper white card stock onto some So Saffron card stock. To finish I used a sponge dauber and some chocolate chip ink to add some texture to the edge of the image layers.

The Image is water coloured using an aqua painter with Regal Rose ink and a blender pen and Old Olive and Always Artichoke ink on the stem.

Pocket Silhouettes

Just another example of this lovely stamp set and how you can use it to create a completely different look, this is why I love rubber stamps and stamping with one stamp set i can create so many different looks for lots of different occasions, and it's easy to start just pick a versatile stamp set that you like and some co-ordinating ink and card stock and you are away!

This card uses Basic Black ink and card stock on a Very Vanilla card base, I used the scallop edge punch to create the border on the sentiment layer ( I'll post a tutorial soon) I used the Pocket Silhouette stamp set and also the Sincere Salutations stamp set and Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, I stamped off onto scrap paper before i stamped the images on the base card to create a lighter shade, it's a great way to maximise an ink pad and get more than one shade from each pad and now you can order all the colours in one go in a mini ink pad set called the stampin spots it's great check out the online catalogue for more info
