Just a quick card for today, I like cards that don't take to long to make! I chose to use the colours from the summer picnic designer series paper, which are Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Real Red and Whisper White.

I used the Soft summer stamp set and the oval all stamp set and matching punches all available in our new UK Stampin' Up! mini from tomorrow!! (I'm so excited!!) and an aqua painter to colour the flowers.

Funky Friday #10

well i had to get the frogs in there somewhere!!! but just to prove that i don't use the frogs every time there is green in a challenge i had to make something different too.

(I added some green galore too)

I used the 1 3/8 an d1 1/4" punches  and the oval and scallop oval punches for the first card and added some dazzlin' diamonds.

I made the lilly ads for the second card with the oval punch and used the circle punches and the scallop edge punch for the balloons.

These are my card for the Funky Friday challenge to view the challenges click here

Very Versatile

I LOVE this stamp set! lol it is rapidly turning into one of my favourites For this card I used:

Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand card stock with Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel Ink and Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon.

I used the scallop oval punch and the co-ordinating oval punch.

Thanks for looking!

A Male Sense of Time.

OK No i wasn't talking about my dh's time keeping lol I did actually mean the stamp set :)

I like all my edges to be clean and i like pretty cards so i thought i would try something a bit different, I keep checking out tim holtz's stuff and thinking i must have a go at something like that so that's what I tried out. I'm not completely sure what i think, it's not my normal style but it's definitely more masculine than my regular cards, but having looked at I it think I should have stamped the sentiment in a darker colour.

I used Chocolate chip, close to cocoa, creamy caramel and naturals ivory card stock with a chipboard circle and Close to cocoa and versa mark inks. The ribbon is chocolate chip taffeta....

and of course the all important Sense of Time stamp set.

Let me know what you think!

Rubber bombshell featured blogger challenge.

This month the Rubber bombshells challenge was to case a card created by Michelle which you can see here

We had to change two things from the original card so I chose the main stamp set and the sentiment, and i didn't add any brads.

here I used the new Very versatile stamp set with Basic black ink and card stock and whisper white card stock and not forgetting my very favourite scallop edge punch! I also used my stamp-a-ma-jig to create the blooms on the left hand side.

It was really great fun thank for the great inspiration Michelle!

Would you like a full set of Stampin' write markers?

The stampin' write markers come in each of the great stampin' up! colour families and are great for colouring your stamps and stamped images, they are a fantastic way for you to have an entire colour family at a really great price!
Each set has 12 markers in it, and starting this month I'm running a great marker share so you can own a FULL set of Markers that's 48 markers in total and the storage case,  the marker share means you can spread the cost over four months and still get the full set.

This group will start as soon as it is full and needs 4 people to run.

Cost each month will be £26.30 ( including postage)

If you would like to join in email me at abi4380@gmail.com

Funky Friday #9

I used the mojo monday sketch for this card with and the colours from this weeks funky friday challenge which you can see here

The colours were:

Pink passion, pretty in pink, blush blossom and whisper white taken from a pretty jar made by lene ( visit my challenge blog to see the jar and a link to lene's blog)

So since it's mothers day on sunday that's what i made and i actually remembered to post it too!

I used the new soft summer stamp set which is in our new mini catalogue and the sentiment is from stem sayings. I used the oval punch and the scallop oval punch too.

This colour combination isn't one which i would have thought of putting together my self but i quite like it.

Funky Friday #8

As quite a few of you already know Today is Comic relief day in the UK, ( also known as red nose day hence the red nose on the frog)

where the whole nation is encouraged to do something crazy/ funny to raise money for the charity all over the country today people will be doing crazy things like sitting in bath tubs of baked beans and shaving their heads to raise money for the charity.

I'm a little bit more tame than that i just made a silly card and bought a red nose to wear :)

Any way this card was for my funky friday challenge not as crazy as i was going to do but i was getting tired by the time i did this, i might have another go later and see what else i can come up with, as it had to funny/ fun.

the colours were: real red, certainly celery, basic black and whisper white.

Why not join in? go on you know you want to!! :)

Abi

I used the corner rounder with the guard off to create the scallop edges,
My cropodile and pewter eyelets, Chocolate chip taffeta ribbon,
Junior varsity designer series paper, Chocolate chip, Old olive, certainly celery and whisper white card stock,
and finally the leaves a la carte jumbo wheel with versa mark ink.

kwerner #45 monochromatic!

Guess what another great colour combination from kristina! couldn't help but do this one after all it does match my blog! :)

I used flowers and pearl from the pretties kit, basic grey taffeta ribbon, scallop oval punch and the oval punch from the upcoming mini and a stamp sorry i don't know what set it was from but i do know we don't sell it in the UK catalogue. The strings of pearls were on my wedding cake when i got married.

Slight disruption to normal blogging :)

Sorry everyone i haven't had chance today to make or post any cards, it's just been one of those days!

I picked my son up from pre school then decided to take him shopping with me to trago mills, which is about 40 minutes from our house, so we are quite happily going along when i realise that i need to get fuel,
so we take a slight detour to the petrol station only for me to realise that i don't have my wallet with me and we need to return home,
So off we drive back home to get some money so we can go shopping.............  only we don't get that far... as we are driving along the dual carriage way i hear a thump and then a scrape from under the car, I knew instantly what it was , the plastic underside of the car under the engine had come loose and was scraping on the ground... luckily we this had happened right next to an emergency pull in so i stop to check it out.

Nope nothing i can do about it i need help,  so i get out my phone to call for help to find i have no calling credit and no battery, at this point stuck on a very fast road with a 3 year old i started to panic and start hoping someone nice will stop and help me as i think this a police car does an emergency stop from the fast lane and comes to see if i am ok.

I  promptly turn into a crying girl because i am so glad to see someone and he lets me use his mobile phone and lets my 3 year old play with the siren and look at the computer while we wait for the break down truck.

He was really lovely and although he will most probably never read this blog i would like to say a huge THANK YOU to him for giving up his lunch ( which he was on his way home to get) and helping me.

He was a train enthusiast and had alot to talk to my 3 year old about although he didn't get much response and he very kindly :)  checked my car was taxed and insured while he was there lol  (good job i sorted all that out last week!!)

So i will try and get some crafting done later and post some new creations for you soon. but i've been a bit busy :)

Funky Friday #7

I can't believe it's the weekend again already! where has the week gone?? (i spent most of the week sat in the garage waiting for my car to be fixed) so time to catch up on some most important crafting!
This is the card I made for the funky Friday challenge, over on my challenge blog

The colours this week were Brilliant blue, Black, silver and or gold. I decided not to use the gold but i had so much fun making this card.

I used three layers of Silver embossing powder on my chipboard butterfly and then while it was still soft I pressed my pocket silhouette stamp into it and I love the effect!

I also used that fantastic scallop circle punch and my 1 3/8" circle punch ( I use both ALOT!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Chocolate chip cupcake!

I totally love these colours ( as most of you already know) so i couldn't resist making another card with these colours.

A you can see I used the Crazy for cupcakes stamp set, the polka dot back ground and a cherry from the tart and tangy stamp set.

I created the chocolate chips by using my 1/8" circle punch and once again used my corner rounder to scallop the edge of my circle.

I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position all the words around the side of my circle ( i love my jig it's such a great tool!)

Can you see that fab ribbon??? it's gorgeous! well it's going to be in our new mini so look forward to April when you'll all be able to get some too!
